Altered Photo Album

This is the second altered art project I have posted today done at last weekends crop. You can scroll down on my blog to see the first one. This one  was a plain wooded book style photo album before I started altering it. Again a mixed media project. The photos really doesn't do them justice. Hope you enjoyed a peek at them. Feel free to leave a comment.

Barn Board Canvas

I was at a weekend scrapbooking crop and this is a canvas I created to look like barn board. I am
really liking this mixed media style. I was so pleased with the barn board look I got.

Doilies

Hi there. Today I will share with you the card I created for the Cheery Lynn Designs challenge. The challenge theme this week is doilies. I have used several doilies in layers and they all have layered so nicely. I started with a white card base, I then layered the Dutch Scallop SquareLarge Sunflower , Pinwheel Doily w Angel Wing , the center of the Polynesian Sails Oval , in that order. The pinwheel doily I cut two of in two different colors and interchanges the colors.  The Sunflower was layered on top of all the doilies with a couple of the Fanciful Flourish added behind the flower.  The center of the flower is from the Build a Flower # 1 and the Embellishment #2 . The sentiment Thank You #2  was layer on the bottom corner. Please come join the Doily challenge @ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. Have a great day.

Anything Goes

Hello to all you Cheery Lynn Fans. This weeks challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs is "Anything Goes".  I had a nice deer image I have been wanting to use and thought a manly card would be a nice
change for this challenge. I started with a green and black matting then added a pattern paper. I placed the Burlap Border and layered the image on it. A few of the Pine Branches were added to the bottom corner. The Old Barn Board was placed at the top to put the sentiment Father on. A couple of the  Hinges  were added to the barn board . Well that is it for this challenge. I invite you to join the challenge at http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. I would love to see your designs. Have a crafty week.

Shaped Card

Hello all you Cheery Lynn Design followers. This weeks challenge at Cheery Lynn  Designs is "Shaped Card". This card is the shape of the doily. The black around the outer edges is just paper I put behind the card to take a photo of it. I started with the Fiona's Magic Mirror doily and then fussy cut a thin black shadowed background around it. I matted my image of the chickadee's onto some black and white chicken wire patterned paper and popped it up for another layer. I tucked two tickets in behind the image at the bottom. I place the smallest of the Horizon Fishtail Banners across the top with a sentiment stamped on it. For the flower I used the Sweet Christine. There are several layers of petals as well as the leaves that come on this die strip. I hope I have inspired you to come join the Cheery Lynn Design challenge @  http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. Have a crafty week.

Snowflakes

Hi I am back  with you today sharing a card  I made for the Cheery Lynn Designs challenge. The theme is snowflakes. I started by placing the Lords and Commons Stacker Frame on a purple base. I then stacked two different sizes of the Horizon Circle Stacker Frame. One by one I stacked three snowflakes. First on the bottom was the Snowflake 2. In the middle is the Snowflake 5 and then the top is one of the snowflakes from the Snowflakes  Set 2. The Horizon Fishtail Banners  with warm wishes printed on it was placed along the top. I liked the addition of the two stamped images of winter clothing to go with this theme. Please come and join our challenge
