Doilies

A warm hello to you today. Cheery Lynn Designs challenge this week is "Doilies". Doilies always make such elegant cards. CLD doilies are the most beautiful and detailed doilies. The background was embossed with the Black Eyed Susans embossing plate. I started with The Emperors Swan doily popping the middle up. I then spliced and tucked the Manon's Wedding Garland doily in behind that. I also used pieces of it on the corners. The flowers are from the middle of the Manon's  Wedding doily. The Mini Fanciful Flourish and Fanciful Flourish Left were placed behind the flowers. The sentiment Love was place on the Pair of Tickets. Please come join the challenge @ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. See you next week with a new challenge.

Friendship is the Wine of Life

Today I am sharing with you another Cheery Lynn Designs challenge card. The theme this week is "Anything Goes". I started with a paper that has leaves and grapes on it.  I layered up the new Happy Halloween Twiggy Wreath and the new Wine and Grapes together. I tucked the Birdhouse w Lattice in behind that and added the Add a Flourish and Branch for filler as well as adding the Sweet Christine flowers. I printed my sentiment on the computer and then cut it out with the new Pair of Tickets. The add a flourish is so delicate that it worked well to add a little around the tickets too.  Please come and join the challenge @ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/ for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree.

What's The Scoop

A Warm Welcome to all. This weeks challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs is "Hot Time in the Summer".  I thought I would get creative and make an icecream cone using the Mesh Border and the Ambergris Tiny Doily. I folder some copy paper and hand cut the shape of a cone. I then laid that pattern on the mesh border and cut it out. I cut the borders of the leftover mesh border and put around the edge of the cone to finish it off. I cut the some of the top edge off the doily off to make the scoop of icecream.  Now how cool is that. I was very pleased the way it turned out. I embossed the background with the Clocks Embossing Plate. The Swedish Spring Oval Frame I placed behind the icecream cone. The Ivy Corner Flourish  and flowers from the Flower Chain Border are in the corner. The Horizon Fishtail Banner goes along the bottom with a few of the Mini Butterflies w Angel Wing flying around. Come play for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree @ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/

Happy Halloween

Well today is a Special day over at Cheery Lynn Designs. They have just released some awesome new dies for us all to create with. You got to go to http://www.cheerylynndesigns.com/ and check them out. I decided for todays release I would work with the new halloween dies. They are going to make a nice addition to add to my collection of  other Halloween dies from Cheery Lynn Designs. As some of you know I do scenic stamping and thought a night scene with  Happy Halloween Twiggy Wreath and the Trick or Treat Border would make a perfect Halloween scene. How cool is that trick or treat border. Gotta love it as well as the Happy Halloween twiggy wreath. Awesome Halloween dies Cheery Lynn.

Beautiful Borders

Welcome back. You got to check out this weeks " Beautiful Borders Challenge" over at Cheery Lynn Designs. I started with some script paper  then cut and popped up some brick paper to go with the Bird Bath set. I placed  the Lattice Heart Flourish in the center and added the sentiment Hello. For the border I used the beautiful Flower Chain Border. I cut three of the borders and then cut the flowers from two of them. I inked the flowers up and layered them. What beautiful cute detailed flowers they make. I cut up the Ivy Corner Flourish into sections and added a few leaves here and there among the flowers.  Come join the challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. Check out the other design team members creations for more inspiration.

I'm Sew Happy

A warm Hello to all. This weeks challenge over at Cheery Lynn Designs is "In Stitches". I started by using the Coved Rectangle Stitch Nesting set and cut it in two sizes. I stacked them on a green base. The Chasing Rainbows Doily is tucked behind the one corner. The Ivy Corner Flourish along with Sweet Christine flowers were layered on the doily. The Double Scalloped Border was placed along the right side. I took a thread and needle and started stitching around the  nesting set with a few stitches and then weaved my needle into the card so I can finish stitching at a later date. LOL. I thought the needle with the thread attached was a cool touch.  The stamped sentiment was perfect for this challenge theme. OK now it is your turn. Hop on over to http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge and enter your creation for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. I would love to see your card.

Christmas In July

Hello This is a fun week at Cheery Lynn Designs with a challenge theme "Christmas in July". Frosty the Snowman  is the cutest die. You get to build your own snowman with all the pieces. The Snowflake Mesh Border was used along the bottom. The Colonial Lamp Post stands to the left. I used a torn piece of paper in the top right corner for another layer and layered a tiny corner piece of the snowflake mesh border on top. The sentiment Merry Christmas was place on the corner layer. The Snowflakes dies has a assortment of all shapes and sizes of snowflakes on it. They make such beautiful snowflakes falling from the sky. I invite you now to come join out Cheery Lynn Design challenge@ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree.
