Thank You

A warm welcome to everyone. This week at Cheery Lynn Designs is the "Thank You" Challenge. I started with a barn board paper as my base and added two different sizes of the  Horizon  Square Boutique Stacker Frame. I cut the smaller one from a bird image paper and off set it so it was a diamond shape. I used the Pretty Pretty Bows  die across the bottom to place the Thank and You sentiment on instead of making it into a bow. I placed the  Whistle a Happy Tune  along one side the bird and some of the Add a Flourish  and a butterfly from the Small Exotic Butterflies #1 with Angel Wings along the other side . I used  some flowers from the Tiny Flower Kit  to place here and there adding bling to the center of them. Well that it for this week. I hope you will come join our challenge @ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge.

Cherish

A warm hello to all. This weeks Cheery Lynn Designs challenge is "Anything Goes". I started by embossing the background with the Clocks Embossing Plate. This really gives a nice texture. I then cut both pieces from the Alpine Flourish Doily die set and placed one at the top and one at the bottom. I added a vintage photo to the top doily and added some pearls to the bottom doily. The flower is the beautiful Shasta Daisy with leaves from the Flourish Leaf Strip. The sentiment Cherish was placed at the top. I love the black and with  just a touch of color. This doily set is so elegant. I hope you will find the time to join our challenge at http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge. I would love to see your creations.

Sparkle and Shine

Hello Here is my card I created for the Cheery Lynn Designs challenge " Sparkle and Shine".  The photo does not show it but it is a 3D effect to this card with  the Santa and sleigh being the front layer and the Winter Neighbourhood Border set back. The front of the card bows out. I used a pattern paper to give the effect of a dark sky with stars. I then layered the  Winter Neighbourhood Border on to it. I hand cut some snow banks and layered to the back of the Madrid Flourishes Rectangle Boutique Stacker then placed the Santa's Sleigh and Reindeer on the snow banks.  I used the Merry Christmas w Tree Sentiment to add to the three corners. I hope you will join our challenge @ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge.

Tis The Season

Here I am with another challenge card for  Cheery Lynn Designs. The theme this week for their challenge is "Tis The Season". I started by cutting the
Joy To The World Wreath  three times and layering them to make nice full branches. I then cut the Christmas Candlelight. Using the Pine Branches  and Wreath Strip  I added a lot of greenery to it. The Poinsettia #2 made a beautiful focal point in front of the candles. I placed the sentiment  from the Joy To The World Wreath  at the top corner.  I just love the look of all the layers of branches that the CLD dies give this card. I hope you will come to http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge and play along in our challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree.  Happy Crafting.

Non Traditional Colors

A warm Hello to you. For this weeks challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs I have done a card following the "Non Traditional Colors" theme. I started with a white base and then cut two of the Snowflake Mesh Border and placed them side by side to give the card front a embossed look. The Icicle Border goes across the top of  the card. I place the snowman image and the tucked the Snowflake Doily behind them a bit. I used the wing from the snowflake doily to cut a black background for it to make the snowflake pop. I also added a black matt and then a white matt as well.  I stacked some styrofoam snowballs in the bottom corner. A bit of glitter to the snowflake and snowballs finished it off nicely. Please come join our challenge @ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge  for you chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree.

New Doily Designs

Glad you dropped by. This is the card I made for the Cheery Lynn Designs "Borders and Edgers " challenge. I embossed the base with the Snowflake Flurries embossing plate. I layered the Snowflake Mesh Border on blue cardstock and placed it up the side. I then featured the Mirror Mirror Doily Frame as my focal point. This is one of the new doily sets and has three dies in the set. The big frame is one of the dies. The blue center is a second one from the set and the one that Merry Christmas is layered on is the third die in the set. These doilies are so versatile now with them having two or three dies in the set depending which one you buy. They are really easy to mix and match the the smaller dies make perfect tiny doilies. The small center doily with the pearl in the middle of it is  the small die from the Dutch Daisy Doily set.  Hope you can find some time to enter our challenge @  http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree @ Cheery Lynn Designs. I would love to see your creations.

Vintage Chistmas

A Warm Hello to everyone today. We have a new challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs happening. The theme is "Vintage". So here is a vintage Christmas card . The base was embossed with the Snowflake Flurries.  I layered  the Veinna Waltz Circle Stackers with the Dutch Daisy Doily. I used the Joy To The World Wreath die to go around the edge of the Vienna Waltz stacker and the joy to the world sentiment from it in the top corner. The image was then placed in the center. Icicles Border was place along the top. The French Lattice Small was torn and place in  the bottom left corner in front of the Colonial Lamp Post. Three poinsettias from the Poinsettia Strip were layer on the doily. A couple of Holly Corners were tucked in behind the poinsettias. A bit of glitter was added to the icicles and wreath branches. These dies did make a beautiful vintage Christmas card.

All Hung Out To Dry

What an exciting day at Cheery  Lynn Designs. They have just release some new dies today. You may want to check them out @http://www.cheerylynndesigns.com/new-releases/.  I have chosen three of the new dies to work with on this card which are Arizona Cowboy, Deutchland Doily and Say What. I started with the Wood Grain embossing plate for my card base. I inked the Wood Grain plate with black ink and then placed grey paper down on it and embossed it. Wow talk about nice texture. I heat embossed the Barbed Wire and hung the beautifully detailed boots and hat on it from the new Arizona Cowboy set.  The Deutchland Doily was place in the bottom right corner with the cowboy image layered onto it. I printed the sentiment on the Old Barn Board and  Howdy was printed on one the Say What shapes. The Hinges were added to both of them. The scroll designs on the sentiments were from the cut out pieces of the boot designs. A couple of horseshoes from the Arizona Cowboy set were heat embossed and hung on the card. The Cattails and Reeds finished the bottom left corner off nicely. Be sure to check out the other creations from out design team using the new dies @  http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/

Happy Halloween

"Orange & Black". That is the challenge theme at Cheery Lynn Designs this week. I started with a black base.  I die cut the Spiderweb and layered it on a orange background. I did the same with the Spiderweb Mesh Border along the bottom. I layered the cute image on top of the two o them. One of the  pumpkins from the Fall Pumpkins sits on the border. The bird from the Happy Halloween Twiggy Wreath sits in front of the pumpkin. To the top right corner I added a piece of the Spiderweb Mesh Border that I fussy cut out from the border. The sentiment happy halloween was cut from the Happy Halloween Twiggy Wreath. The bats and cat are from the Bundle of 7 Dies. Well that is it for this week. Mixed Media Halloween

Nice to see you here. We have a fun week at Cheery Lynn Designs for our weekly challenge.  "Halloween" is the theme. Thought I would try a little mixed media. So I arranged several dies cuts  on the canvas including Spiderweb, Spider Web Mesh Border , Witch's Laundry and the Burlap Border. I then place a couple of the Spooky Trees and the Happy Halloween set along the bottom. I used some distress ink to color some gauze to give it some dimension. If you notice the bottom left hand corner I used the new die Trick Or Treat to add some little people in their costumes. They are priceless. A few spiders here and there embellished it nicely. Do you want to have a little fun with the Halloween theme? Darling Daisies

A warm hello to all. This card I want to share with you today was created for the "Lace Challenge" for Cheery Lynn Designs. This card has a two piece front on it where you can hide a little sentiment behind the flap. The flap is cut from the  Kaleidoscope Lace French Flair. I attached the Dancing Doily Lace along the edge. The Darling Daisies were cut and arranged along the bottom with the layers of Grass Border to ground them. With and Sympathy sentiments turned it into a nice sympathy card. The cutest tiny dragonflies from the Tiny Things with Wings set were placed here and there. A touch of glitter on their wings made them look cool. I now invite you to come join us in the challenge @ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. I would love to see your creations.

Gift Box

Glad to see you here. I am sharing with you a cute little gift box that I created for the Cheery Lynn Designs challenge " Die Cut Flowers".  This little box is cut from the  die Matchbox Large. It is so quick and easy to cut and assemble. Like 2 or 3 minutes maybe. There are three different die sets that each cut a different size of box. Just put something little inside and it will brighten up someone's day. Plus they are fun to decorate and good for any occassion. I started decorating the box by added some mesh, ribbons and beads. I then added the Large Rose and stuck the leaves from the Tea Rose Medium in behind. Two of the Add A Flourish were used for filler. I then put Alison's Ribbons around the sides of the box. A beaded corsage pin was stuck in behind. Now how easy was that! The third layer I used the Horizon Oval Boutique Stacker and embossed it with the Diamond and Starburst embossing plate. What beautiful  texture that one has. All About Texture

Hello I am back with the new challenge @ Cheery Lynn Designs. It is "All About Texture" this week. It's the perfect challenge to play with my CLD embossing plates. One of my favorites is the Foliage. So I embossed the base with the Foliage embossing plate and then inked round the edges to pop it a bit. I like this effect as it kind of frames the focal point of the flower arrangement. I assembled three flowers from the Black Eyed Susan Strip and then used the leaves and stems from the Orchid die. With the Grass Border, Wheat Heads, and Tiny Fanciful Flourish  it finished it off nicely. If you haven't tried the CLD embossing plates out yet you should give them a try. They really do add nice texture to your projects. Hope you will join me in our challenge for you chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree @ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge. Friendship is the Wine of Life

Today I am sharing with you another Cheery Lynn Designs challenge card. The theme this week is "Anything Goes". I started with a paper that has leaves and grapes on it.  I layered up the new Happy Halloween Twiggy Wreath and the new Wine and Grapes together. I tucked the Birdhouse w Lattice in behind that and added the Add a Flourish and Branch for filler as well as adding the Sweet Christine flowers. I printed my sentiment on the computer and then cut it out with the new Pair of Tickets. What's The Scoop

A Warm Welcome to all. This weeks challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs is "Hot Time in the Summer".  I thought I would get creative and make an icecream cone using the Mesh Border and the Ambergris Tiny Doily. I folder some copy paper and hand cut the shape of a cone. I then laid that pattern on the mesh border and cut it out. I cut the borders of the leftover mesh border and put around the edge of the cone to finish it off. I cut the some of the top edge off the doily off to make the scoop of icecream.  Now how cool is that. I was very pleased the way it turned out. I embossed the background with the Clocks Embossing Plate. The Swedish Spring Oval Frame I placed behind the icecream cone. The Ivy Corner Flourish  and flowers from the Flower Chain Border are in the corner. The Horizon Fishtail Banner goes along the bottom with a few of the Mini Butterflies w Angel Wing flying around. Welcome back. You got to check out this weeks " Beautiful Borders Challenge" over at Cheery Lynn Designs. I started with some script paper  then cut and popped up some brick paper to go with the Bird Bath set. I placed  the Lattice Heart Flourish in the center and added the sentiment Hello. For the border I used the beautiful Flower Chain Border. I cut three of the borders and then cut the flowers from two of them. I inked the flowers up and layered them. What beautiful cute detailed flowers they make. I cut up the Ivy Corner Flourish into sections and added a few leaves here and there among the flowers.  Come join the challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. I'm Sew Happy

A warm Hello to all. This weeks challenge over at Cheery Lynn Designs is "In Stitches". I started by using the Coved Rectangle Stitch Nesting set and cut it in two sizes. I stacked them on a green base. The Chasing Rainbows Doily is tucked behind the one corner. The Ivy Corner Flourish along with Sweet Christine flowers were layered on the doily. The Double Scalloped Border was placed along the right side. I took a thread and needle and started stitching around the  nesting set with a few stitches and then weaved my needle into the card so I can finish stitching at a later date. LOL. I thought the needle with the thread attached was a cool touch.  The stamped sentiment was perfect for this challenge theme. OK now it is your turn. Hop on over to http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge and enter your creation for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. I would love to see your card.

Hello This is a fun week at Cheery Lynn Designs with a challenge theme "Christmas in July". Frosty the Snowman  is the cutest die. You get to build your own snowman with all the pieces. The Snowflake Mesh Border was used along the bottom. The Colonial Lamp Post stands to the left. I used a torn piece of paper in the top right corner for another layer and layered a tiny corner piece of the snowflake mesh border on top. The sentiment Merry Christmas was place on the corner layer. The Snowflakes dies has a assortment of all shapes and sizes of snowflakes on it. They make such beautiful snowflakes falling from the sky. I invite you now to come join out Cheery Lynn Design challenge@ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree.

Wonderful Weddings

A warm hello to all. Today I am sharing a wedding card I created for the Cheery Lynn Design challenge "Wonderful Weddings."  It's a great theme with lots of weddings around the corner. I was going for simple yet elegant with only using a few dies. I started with a slightly patterned paper. I then cut the Sweetheart Frame and put music paper behind it. I tucked the marriage sentiment into the frame and added the Victorian Romance Flourish to the corner. The Black Eyed Susan and two of the Sweet Christine flowers finished the corner off nicely. The small Add a Flourish gave it a nice touch at the bottom. Liquid pearls in silver really worked well on the flourishes to give it a elegant look. I hope you will join us in the challenge this week @http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 store certificate. Have a great week.

Red, White and Blue

A warm Hello to everyone. With Fathers Day around the corner I thought I would do a Fathers Day card for the "Red, White and Blue" challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs.
I cut a blue and white base and then a blue and white layer with the Coved Rectangle Classic Lg. I used the Pierce Plate LG Parallel Rectange to give a few of the layers some added texture. I then cut the Lighthouse twice(one in white and once in red) I then alternated sections of the red on top of the white. A couple of Olive Branches were added to the corner. The sentiments Fathers and Day were added as another layer. This makes a nice manly card for Father's Day. Hope to see you join the challenge @ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree.

Roses

Here I am back with my creation for the "Roses" challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs. Cheery Lynn Designs really does have some awesome flower dies and the rose dies are no exception.  Just look at the beautiful roses made with white paper and a little distress ink. My base was embossed with the Clocks Embossing Plate and some ink applied to make the clocks pop more. I layered the Large Sunflower Doily and the Sophie's Heart Mini. The beautiful Birdhouse with Lattice was place along the side. The Tea Rose Small and Tea Rose Medium  were used to make the beautiful roses. These detailed leaves come on the die strip with the roses.  The humming birds and dragonflies were from the Tiny Things with Wings set. Last I added the sentiment Mother. Now it is your turn. Come on over to http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge and show us your creations for a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree.

Gone Fishin

Hello to everyone. This weeks challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs is "Make It Manly".  I had some photos of bears fishing so I wanted to work around one of them photos. I used the Celtic Chain Rectangle on a black background. I then place the photo and added the Old Barn Board with the gone fishin sentiment and hook on it. It is a three piece die set which is great for man cards. The Ships Compass was place in the top corner. I think these dies have made a great mans card. I invite you to join this challenge @ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree.

Ankara Designs

I am back this week with the "Dry Embossing" challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs. I cut a cream color paper and cut the Fancy Corner Cuts #1 on two corners. I then dry embossed it with the Black Eyed Susans. I placed chocolate paper behind the embossed paper. I place a chocolate strip up the side and layered the Ankara Lace Border along it. I cut the Ankara Lace Doily and place the angel wing in chocolate behind it. The sentiment Hello was placed in the center of the doily. Below the doily I placed the Mini Fanciful Flourish with some flowers from the Tiny Flower Kit. I hope you will join this weeks challenge  for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree @ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge.
