Wedding Frame

Glad you stopped by. This week at Cheery Lynn designs the challenge theme is "Flowers(made with dies)". I started with a frame and used mixed media to change it up a bit. The Chicken Wire, Sophie's Heart Mini and Fiona's Magic Mirror were glued down around the frame and along the opening of the frame with multi media. Paint, distress inks and gesso were also used and then some images and sentiments were stamped here and there. Then came the real fun of making all the flowers with the Sweet Williams, Gardenia, Black Eyed Susan and the Cuties 3 dies.. The Flourish Leaf Strip was place in among the flowers. The  Birdcage with Lattice was tuck in behind some of the flowers. The key from the Lock and Keys were placed at the top right corner.  The bird from the Birds of the Earth and Sky were colored with 3D paint. A couple hearts from The Two of Hearts were added. I invite you to join the challenge for a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. Also check out the other designers creations @ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/

Tool Time

Hello all you Cheery Lynn followers. This weeks challenge theme is "Shaped Card".   I had this image of the little boy with his tool belt and worked around that. I cut out a house shaped card. I embossed the front of the house with the Do It Yourself embossing plate. The house trim and door I embossed with the Foliage embossing plate. I used a black pen to draw the bricks on the chimney. The windows were cut from the Burlap Border. The fence is the Victorian Picket Fence colored with inka-gold. The Grass Border was placed along the bottom of the fence. The Gears were also colored with inka - gold giving them a great metal look. The sentiment Hello was used above the boy. I really liked the way this card turned out. I hope I have inspired you to join the challenge for a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. I would love to see your creations. Valentines

Hello Everyone. With Valentines around the corner and the Cheery Lynn Designs challenge "Frame It" beginning today I thought I would choose some of Cheery Lynn beautiful frames, hearts and vines as well as their beautiful rose. This is what I came up with. I used the Step Card as a Base to attach the Oval Doily Stacker to. I embossed the ivory background with the Clocks Embossing Plate. The oval frame was created using two of the Horizon Oval Frames one inside of the other when cutting it. The Lattice Hearts and Vines was perfect to place partly inside the frame. The Rose and Rose Leaves where placed along the side and the sentiment Valentines across the top. I hope I have inspired you and that you will participate in the "Frame It" challenge for a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. Hope you enjoy a crafty week.

Fairy Tales

A warn Hello to all you Cheery Lynn Fans out there. This is my take on the challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs which is "Add a Flourish"   I used a beautifully designed  patterned paper and worked around it. I use the Foliage Embossing Plate on a white base and inked it up to match the pattern paper. I added a couple of stamped images and some modeling paste to the pattern paper. Then the fun began. Adding the Ivy Corner Flourish and the Victorian Romance Flourish  framed it in.  The beautiful Shasta Daisy was inked up and place in the top corner. The new inked Hinge was placed on the top left corner. I placed two dragonflies from the Tiny Things w/ Wings, one on the lamp and the other on the flourish. The Ankara Lace Border was tucked behind the one edge. A few purple buttons finished it off nicely. I hope I have inspired you and that you will come join the  "Add a Flourish" Challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs for a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree.
